Cinch Diet - 5 Day Detox

I have been very miserable and feeling unhappy about my body for the past month or so. I have decided to try a 5 day detox and decided on the Cinch Diet Detox. I have read great reviews of this detox and it looks like one that I could complete for 5 days. I also ehard that after the 5 days you have a new appreciation for real food, which would be great. On top of this detox I am also trying a "get happy this week detox". I have been donig new stuff and making sure to spend every minute either happy or asleep. Life is too short to be angry and I am making an effort to not be so angry.

So later today I am going to clean my room, that always makes me feel like a new person. I am also going to take my dog on a walk since he is the most precious thing in the world and I don't know what I would do without him. Last night I awoke and he was beside me and I thought he was dead. He wasn't moving, even when I shook him .. eventually he opened his eyes but I was so scared! Oh and I will be posting much more since I stopped for like a week and my life has actually goen downhill.

So the Cinch Diet seems really easy and natural, which I like. It involved 6 ingredients and 4 meals. I have not bought the book yet but I have done my research online, and it was on Rachel Ray. The diet involved spinach, raspberries, eggs, yogurt, almonds and almond butter. So it involved 4 meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner than a snack) and each must be within 3 to 5 hours of each other.

So today I woke up at 10:30 am (kinda late) and I made breakfast at 11 am. I did not have spinach so I could not make the orignial breakfast I wanted, so Instead I ate the recommended lunch for breakfast. (I'm sure that's okay right?, better than pushing it for another day tho). So for breakfast I had a yogurt parfait and coffee. I'm not sure if coffee is allowed but I need it, and I had it with only a little skim milk so it shouldn't be that bad.

So berakfast was 3/4 cup yogurt, 1 cup raspberries (I used some other frozen berries since I ran out of fresh raspberries) and 1/4 cup almonds. This diet does not involve oil or sugar or salt, so I sweetened my parfait with cinnamon and nutmeg. Cinnamon is great for the body, and I'll post an article about it later.

The breakfast was huge, I actually had to make 2 parfaits since I didn't have a bowl big enough. It was kinda sour since the yogurt was plain greek yogurt and the raspberries were unsweetened but It was definately filling and worth it if I lose pounds. I heard people my size losing about 8 pounds in 5 days. I am more using it just to jump start my diet since I don't think losing that amount of weight so soon can be healthy.

So I did my math for the yogurt parfait:
3/4 cup yogurt = 120 cal, 6 gram protein
1 cup raspberries = 64 calories, 8 gram fiber
1/4 cup almonds = 170 calories, 15 gram fat, 6 gram protein

It tasted pretty good too, and I will definately continue eating this. After the detox I will probably add a little sugar or honey to make the yogurt sweeter.

About to go to the gym soon and I'm feeling great ! Expect a post later tonight about the rest of my meals.
